Scumbags, dirtbags, teabags, hand bags, satchel bags, UkoalaBags, BULBAGs…, where did they all come from, how long have they been around, and are bags totally a girly thing? Obviously the last question is one that any self-confidant tough-guy knows is far from an affirmative. Bags have been around way before the beginning of recorded history. One of the first clear documented examples of a handbag/satchel bag was found perfectly preserved on one of my favorite icemen: Ötzi the Iceman mummy, some 5,300 years ago in the Tyrolean Alps of Austria. The amount of animal skin this guy was sporting was enough to make any vegan get inexplicable twitches. Yes, the guy had one of those killer leather bags that turned heads. Those kind that just got better with time. Not one of those skimpy nylon PsOS with shitty zippers that actually make you feel sad inside the two times you use it ‘till it broke… I'm talking a real man bag. Quality, character, love, foreverness. Yes, I said love. And foreverness. Those two don’t always go together as you may well know.
